Intel’s Alder Lake 12th Gen CPUs have been making waves in gaming PCs and laptops for several months, but their successors could be just around the corner seeing as a so-called Core i9-13900K appears to have had its specifications leaked online.
Posting on Chiphell’s forums (via Videocardz), user 9550pro has posted information showing the processor as well as CPU-Z benchmark specifications and benchmark performance, with Videocardz adding that peak boost frequencies pf 5.5GHz were observed with all its Performance cores able to reach 5.3GHz.
In the benchmark, the processor hit a single thread score of 611 compared to 648 for an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, although this is likely not running at full speed seeing as Intel’s current 12th Gen CPUs already beat that AMD CPU in single-threaded tests. The multi-threaded result of 13,014 compared to 11,906, for the AMD processor.
Even ore information was gleaned by Tweaktown, who spotted a review of a Core i9-13900 obtained on the Chinese black market.
These are early engineering samples so we can’t read too much into the results or frequencies as nothing has been confirmed by Intel at this point. However, its 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors are widely known to be the successor to Alder Lake and expected to launch later in 2022.
