UBS research just confirmed that ChatGPT is the “fastest-growing consumer application in history,” according to research from UBS research just announced that ChatGPT.
“In 20 years following the Internet space, we cannot recall a faster ramp in a consumer internet app. By comparison, TikTok took nine months to reach 100 million monthly users, and Instagram about 2.5 years.”
OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT also has just launched a new service called ChatGPT Plus, a $20 per month subscription service that will offer users faster response times, preferential access to ChatGPT during peak times, and priority access to new features.
Microsoft also has further invested in OpenAI with a $10B investment. This strategic move has further spurred Google, The Alphabet company is working on a response to the rapid growth ChatGPT
Google is also accelerating the testing of “Apprentice Bard,” a ChatBot, where employees can ask questions and receive answers similar to ChatGPT.
I suspect a early launch will be in the market in the Spring … The race is on between these two Giants. Google has the most current content —- in their search reach and what Google is brilliant about is simplicity.
What Microsoft has going for it is they own the desktop, so where am I always working.
It will come down to the quality of the answers, and ensuring we don’t have halo hallucination amplification.
